This unique cushion was invented by the fabulous midwife who caught my second daughter!  It is designed to be owned by birth professionals and used by the birthing women who are their clients.  It can be used for multiple purposes:

 

• In the hospital, it can get mom's feet out of the stirrups as she pushes her baby out, allowing her to plant her feet in a more comfortable and empowering position on the bed while her care provider still has the access to support the mother and baby as the baby is born.  It can also be used for repair (if needed).

• At an out-of-hospital birth, it can be used to give some height and firmness for birth, exams, and repair (if needed).

• In any birth setting, it can be used as a comfortable, supportive surface for mom or another member of the birth team to kneel on, or as a resting surface between pushing contractions if mom is squatting.

• In an office setting, it can be used in place of stirrups for well-woman care.
